وتتجلى أهمية الكتاب في كونه يبحث في قضية هامة للمحتفظة على لغتنا العربية مما يتسرب إليها من الكلمات الغربية من اللغات الأخرى التي دخلت وكثر استعمالها بسبب الحاجة الماسة إليها ويعتبر الجواليقي أول من نبه لهذه القضية الهامة والتي تواجه لغتنا العربية في هذا العصر، خصوصاً بعد غزو والتقنية الحديثة للحياة العصرية، تعتبر مجامع اللغة العربية الموزعة في الأقطار العربية حاليا هى المسؤولة عن هذا الموضوع وهي التي تقوم بعملية التعريب وانتقاء الكلمات المرادفة والسهلة الملائمة لما دخل حياتنا ولغتنا من كلمات بغير استئذان. ولهذا فإن الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا يعتبر مجتمعاً حول الإشارة لهذا الموضوع في وقت مبكر وتأتي أهمية باعتباره جمع الكلمات المعربة في هذا الكتاب التي وصلتنا في الماضي.
