فيما تذهب آراء أخرى إلى التحذير من محاولات تحجيم وتقزيم مكتسبات الثورة، وبين هذا وذاك، مواقف تعتبر أن سقوط الأنظمة السابقة ليس سوى إستبدال رأس النظام برؤوس قد تكون أشد وطأة وأكثر قدرة على الإلتفاف على مطالب الحرية، التي خرج الناس للمطالبة بها.
بعيداً عن مقاربات المتفائلين والمتشائمين تبقى المقاربة العلمية لما يجري من متغيرات في البلدان العربية ضرورة ملحمة للغاية، للإجابة عن أسئلة ما بعد الثورة ودراسة مرحلة تنزيل شعاراتها، فالهدف هو تبيان وإظهار وسائل وأدوات وسبل الخروج من حالة الركود الإقتصادي والمجتمعي والأزمات المستدامة المستفحلة والدعوة للإنخراط في المشروع التنموي القائم على المؤسسات الضامنة للتعددية السياسية والثقافية، والملتزم بقيم الحرية والجماعية المقرونة بالمسؤولية.
إننا في العالم العربي، وفي هذه المرحلة بالضبط، بحاجة إلى أن تبدأ كل القوى المجتمعية والفعاليات الفكرية بتقصي وتحليل كافة إرهاصات التغيير المبتغى لتجنب أية خسارة جماعية لصالح منافع قطاعية، والسعي إلى تقديم رؤية واضحة للمرحلة القادمة، مرحلة لا يجب أن يتسم سلوكها بالتكيف الإضطراري ومهادنة المقاربات النمطية والشعبوية والجاهزة بهدف الإقتصار على إحتواء الوضع الناشئ، وعدم الغوص عميقاً في عملية التغيير، بل نحن في حاجة ملحة لأن نجعلها مناسبة لتدارس خيارات الإصلاح والتغيير المجتمعي المستمد من خصوصيات المجتمع العربي، مستلهماً ومستأنساً بالتجارب الإنتقالية الناجحة في المجتمعات البشرية عبر التاريخ كله... ومنه فكرة هذا الكتاب الذي بين يديك عزيزي القارئ.
