خلق الله تعالى الإنسان وحباه بالعقل الذي يجعله قادرا على الاختيار بين الخير والشر والتمييز بين الحق والباطل وقد وعد الله تعالى عباده الصالحين بجنات عرضها السماوات والأرض خالدين فيها أبدا حيث اتخذ القرآن الكريم أسلوب التصوير القرآني في وصف الجنة لتقريب المشاهد وجعلها مرئية أمام القاريء أو المستمع لكتاب الله تعالى. وقد يكون مصطلح الصورة من أشد المصطلحات غموضا ولبسا لكثير من الدلالات والتأويل فحالة الانزياح تمثل أفضل حالات التصوير الفني، وهي في تفسيرها القريب، تحويل المفردات من معناها القاموسي إلى فضاء واسع تحمل فيه معاني جديدة، الأمر الذي يضع المتلقي أمام حالة جديدة من الدهشة.
إذن فالصورة هي المكان الذي يحوي بين جدرانه تلك المشاهد التي تنتقل ضمن حركة معينة، تصاحب هذه الحركة موسيقى ذات إيقاعات تتناسب مع المشهد المعروض، وما يرافق ذلك كله من لون، وما يصاحب ذلك من الفاظ، وما تحمل هذه الألفاظ من دلالات ، فالألفاظ إذن هي البؤرة التي تمحور تلك الصورة. وعلى الرغم من تفاوت الصورة الأدبية في تعبيرها وتأثيرها، فإن الأمر يجعلنا نشعر بأنه ليست كل صوره قادرة على أن تنمي ذوقا أدبيا رفيعا لكنها فقط تلك الصورة الحية النابضة والمتحركة الشاخصة، التي تترك أثرها يتعمق المشاعر ويهز الوجدانات، ويبقى أثرها بعد انقضائها ماثلا في المشاعر و الأحاسيس.
