يشكل هذا القاموس (إنكليزي-إنكليزي-عربي) القاموس رقم ثلاثة بعد صدور القاموسين السابقين (إنكليزي-عربي) و(عربي-إنكليزي) نقطة تحول مهمة، وذلك لما جمع بين دفتيه من مزايا القاموس الأحادي اللغة والقاموس الثنائي اللغة في وقت واحد. ولهذا جاء هذا القاموس متميزاً بحلة جديدة وحتى يلبّي (هذا القاموس) حاجة الذين بلغوا مرحلة متوسطة أو متقدمة في دراستهم ويحقق هدفه، فقد تمّ فيه التوقف عند اختيار الكلمة باللغة الإنكليزية ومعانيها المتعددة واستخداماتها المتنوعة وبالتالي أمام المرادف باللغة العربية، حيث تمّ التعريف فيه بالمعنى أو المعاني للكلمة باللغة الإنكليزية مع مثال أو أكثر على استعمالها.
وقد جرى ترقيم المعاني المختلفة للمفردة الواحدة متوازياً مع المعنى باللغة العربية ليتم الاهتداء إليها بيسر وسهولة ودونما مشكلة أو تعقيد. كما ويتميز هذا القاموس، أيضاً، بما يحتويه من مفردات جديدة دخلت اللغة الإنكليزية بعد التطور العلمي الحديث، ولكن دون سَبْر أغوارها، لأن ذلك يحتاج إلى معاجم خاصة بها. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم وضع (AmE) أو (u5) للدلالة على استخدام الكلمة في أمريكا. كما وتم إضافة محلق اشتمل على أهم المختصرات المستخدمة، وآخر يشمل الأفعال غير القياسية.
