في هذا الديوان للشاعرة البحرينية، التي مارست التمثيل والشعر وتقديم البرامج التلفزيونية، وجدانيات معبرّة بلغة خاصة لا تريد الإفصاح المباشر عن مكنوناتها بل تريد إظهارها تلميحاً وصوراً على القارئ فك رموزها، والإحساس بجماليتها ومغزاها، والتمتع بالولوج إلى أعماقها.
صورتها العلانية ليست حقيقية: "كم خنتُ صورتي/أطل على العالم/ولا أطل." وهويتها قيد التساؤل: "من أنا تلك التي تطوف/غريبة/في عتمة الحكاية؟/أمشي/وأتبعني/بلا شق في جدار، ولا نجمة في سماء بعيدة.."، وتتمنى: "ليتني كنتُ مساء/ليس إلا..". وتسأل إذا كانت "الموسيقى تعاقب الحب والألم./أين أعلق صورتي الباكية؟"
وكل ما تملكه الغريبة: "لي من شذا اللغة الغريبة/عندما يهوي المساء/على فؤادي/باء بكت راءً/وواوٌ أورقت ياءً على الألواح،/والشمسُ خمرةُ فكرةٍ في كأس نون."
الألم لدى الشاعرة لا يولّد حزناً بل بريقاً: "..أيتها النهارات الأكثر ألماً وخفاء/اقتربي../كلما مررت بك/ازددت وهجاً.
والاحتفاء التقليدي بليلة رأس السنة، يدعو لدى النفس الشفافة إلى الكتابة حزناً وذكريات انطفأت نارها: "في يوم كهذا أعاند الغياب/لأستعيد زعفران وجهي../وما أن يطوي الليل نحيبه/ حتى يخرج من حبري رماد السنوات"، فـ"القلب/ذاكرة ذابلة".
تبدو العلاقة بالرجل، مركّبة في إطارها، فالمرأة الشاعرة كائن مغترب: "خذ قلبك بقوة وارقد في غربتي"، وبوجوده تختفي قدرتها على التعبير اللغوي: "لماذا كلما كنتَ هنا/ رأيتُ كلماتي كأساً فارغة/في خزانة اللغة." وفي غيابه تحس يتماً من نوع آخر: "والآن،/أتمشى في يُتمي الضاحك،/وأنتظر وصولك"، فـ"في ملكوت الشوق/أدركت/أخيرا،/أن جسداً واحد لا يسع الأرض كلها"ً. وحين لا يكون ضوء: "أمرّ في العتمة/وأحب صوتك/العتمة صديقي، وصوتك الأمنية المرجأة.."، وفي كل حال: "أيّ هوى، هذا الذي يملأني خوفاً/ويجعلني حزينة!".
باكورة أعمال الشاعرة ديوان شعري مميز بأسلوبه ولغته، يعكس وجدانيات حارة تريد التفلت من قضبانها للتعبير عن مكنوناتها ومحتواها.
