السلوك الإنساني ليس قيمة دينية حضارية فحسب، بل هو فنّ يحتاج إلى الإتقان، والإتقان يحتاج إلى وعي بمضامين هذا السلوك، ويحتاج إلى ممارسة وتمرين النفس على أدائه، ليصبح السلوك سمة تلقائية لتصرفات الإنسان.
وإتقان السلوك الإسلامي الحضاري يساهم في تكوين المجتمع وتصحيح العلاقات فيما بين أفراده، ليسيروا في عملية تكاملية تعاونية لبناء الحياة في شتّى مجالاتها بأفضل ما يكون البناء.
والسلوك الأمثل هو أيضاً دعوة للدين الحق والقيم الحقّة والسلوك الحق، من خلال ممارسة أسمى قواعد المعاملات مع الناس لتكون مظهراً إجتماعياً، نابعاً من الوعي لقيم الدين ومقاصده، وهي بذلك دعوة غير مباشرة للإنضمام تحت مظلة هذا الدين القويم، كما في الحديث: (كونوا دعاة للناس بغير ألسنتكم).
ولأهمية هذا الموضوع، سعى المؤلف تأليف هذا الكتاب "فن الإعتذار وقبول العذر" ليقدم للقارئ بعض الآداب المتعلقة بالإعتذار وكيفية قبوله إذ ان إتقان السلوك الحضاري بعبارة أشمل تُختزل فيها كل معانيه ومنطلقاته ومراميه هو "فن ممارسة الحياة بأفضل صورها"، و"فن الحياة" أن تتقن السلوك الحضاري النابع من قيم السماء إلى أبناء الأرض.
