أضاقوا العقائد الروحية والإعتبارية. فالعلم إختص بالتجربة، وازدهرت الفلسفة بالعقل والمنطق. وبقيت العقيدة التي لا تقاس بوسائل العلوم والفلسفات. بل بالعقائد التي إختصت بضوابط التسليم والإيمان، من هنا جاءت التكاملية في محركات الإنسان موزعة على (الحاجة، والدهشة، والرهبة). والذين لم يدركوا هذه الثلاثية قصروا عن إدراك المرام المعرفي.
هذا الكتاب موسوعة ثقافية ترصد أعمال المفكرين والعلماء الإسلاميين والغربيين والموازاة التي تمت بينهم، وقد جسَد المؤلف الجزئيات الصغيرة عن المفكرين الإسلاميين كدليل ثابت على النتائج الفائقة التي بلغها العقل العربي المسلم، وقدرته الفذة على الجمع بين الفلسفة والعلوم المختلفة. ودوره في إيقاظ الوعي العربي والغربي على حقائق الأمور، والعمل على تعميق الصلة بين مشرق الوطن العربي ومغريهن لتكون المعرفة أكثر قرباً من مشكلات مجتمعنا المعرفية والتقنية والعلمية ونحن نعيش مداخل القرن الواحد والعشرين.
