نازك سابا يارد (مواليد عام 1928) كاتبة فلسطينية يحفل رصيدها بعشرات الكتب في مجال النقد الأدبي، تناولت فيها شعراء عرب من مختلف المدارس والعصور من العباسي أبي نواس إلى شاعر المهجر اللبناني الياس أبو شبكة.
وقد اعتُمدَت أطروحتها 'الرحالون العرب وحضارة الغرب في النهضة العربية الحديثة' مرجعًا في جامعة السوربون في فرنسا.
ورغم نجاح كتاباتها النقدية، لم تغفل يارد الكتابة الإبداعية فأصدرت بعض الروايات كما كتبت قصصًا للناشئة بعد أن قضت زهاء ثلاثين عامًا من عمرها في مهنة التدريس.تعيش اليوم في بيروت وهي عضو في 'تجمع الباحثات اللبنانيات'.

في المؤلف الذي بين أيدينا دراسة تناولت شعر ثلاثة عباسيين لم يحظوا باهتمام النقاد، وهؤلاء هم والية بن الحباب، عمرو بن كلثوم العتابي، وأبان بن عبد الحميد اللاحقي، وهذه الدراسة اهتمت بإدراج ديوان كل شاعر من هؤلاء وقبل ذلك بالتمهيد له بمقدمة تحدثت عن سيرة الشاعر وأغراضه.
