يضم الكتاب مقالات نشرت معظمها منذ أكثر من ربع قرن، وخلال الأعوام التالية: 1971 و1972 و1973. وقد جمعت وتم إصدارها في هذا الكتاب انطلاقاً من وحدة الموضوع الذي تتناوله وإشكالية المسائل التي تعالجها. فثمة خيط يربط تلك المقالات التي بلغت تسعاً في هذا الكتاب: ما هي طبيعة الصهيونية الحديثة على صعيد التحرك والتنظيم والتنظير العقيدي، وكيف تتشكل العلاقة بين الحركة الصهيونية وإسرائيل، أو بين اليهود المتواجدين في العالم ودولة اليهود في فلسطين المحتلة فالبرنامج الصهيوني يهدف منذ إعلانه في مؤتمر بازل (1897) إلى غزو فلسطين وغزو الجماعات اليهودية في العالم أجمع لحملها على المشاركة في علمية الغزو وإكراهها على مغادرة أوطانها لكي يتم بالتالي نقلها وتهجيرها إلى أرض فلسطين بغية ترحيل سكانها العرب وطردهم من ديارهم عنوة، وتحت طائلة التهديد والوعيد، وزرع الرعب والخوف والترهيب في قلوبهم.
وقد أبرزت شتى النواحي في الصهيونية الحديثة من خلال المقالات المدرجة في هذا الكتاب، وانصب اهتمام الأبحاث على المجادلات الخلافية بين الزعماء والقادة الصهيونية العالمية في علاقتها المتبادلة مع يهود الدولة القائمة في فلسطين المحتلة.
