يضم هذا الكتاب بين طياته دراسته تدور في ملك القرآن الكريم تحدث فيها المؤلف عن اسم التفضيل (خير وشر)، ومجيء مصدر اسم التفصيل منصوباً، وبيان ذكر أو حذف المفضل عليه، شارحاً الآيات التي اشتملت على اسم التفضيل ومسهباً، أحياناً في شرح بعض المعاني المتعلقة بهذا الاسم، ففي الفصل الأول من الكتاب وضح المواطن التي حذف فيها اسم التفضيل والتي وردت في محكم التنزيل، وفي الفصل الثاني ذكر صيغة اسم التفضيل (خير) وأتبعها في الفصل ثالث بذكر صيغة اسم التفضيل (شر)، ثم في فصل رابع بين مواطن مجيء مصدر اسم التفضيل منصوباً، وفي فصل خامس وضح صيغة اسم الاستفهام (من) مع أفعل التفضيل، وفي فصل سادس ذكر المواطن التي جاء فيها ذكر المفضل عليه في آيات الله البينات.
وفي فصل سابع وأخير وضح مواطن التمثيل في محكم التنزيل، والتمثيل في مفتتح الكلام يكون قياساً موضحاً وبرهاناً مصاحباً، وهو كثير في القرآن العظيم، ومن التمثيل ما يجيء في مقام الاحتجاج، فيكون ساطع البرهان باهر البيان، ومنه ما يجيء في مقام الوعظ فيكون أبلغ في التنبيه والزجر، ومنه ما يجيء في باب الذم فيكون وقعه أشد، ويجيء في كل فنون القول وضروب الكلام، وخصوصاً في الوصف.
