هذه الرواية الطويلة تحكي قصة شعب، شعب ذبح وهجر وشرد، ثم ذبح وهجر وشرد، فيها مزيج من صرخات الألم والوجع والتفجع والغضب والعقوق والجنون والبطولة والعنفوان والإقدام والكبرياء. فيها حب التراب وعشق الأرض والحنين إلى الوطن الضائع، إلى البيت المهدم إلى ملاعب الأمس وأحلام السنين.
شعب فلسطين له في كل يوم قصة، إنه يعيش حكاية كالأسطورة بل هي الأسطورة من حيث الصمود والتضحية والإصرار والعناد في سبيل استرجاع الوطن السليب، وهذه الرواية تحكي جانباً من تلك الأسطورة أسطورة الموت والحياة، أسطورة الهزيمة والنصر وحكاية النعيم المفقود، الذي يعيش في مخيلة كل فلسطيني شيخاً كان أم صبياً، عجوزاً أم صبية،حتى أولئك الذين لم يعرفوا فلسطين إلا اسماً لبلد سكنه أهلوهم وإلا بقعة من الأرض تحتل مكاناً من جغرافية العالم.
هذه الرواية تدور بك متنقلة من مشهد لمشهد وكل مشهد لا يخلو من صورة فلسطين أو الفلسطيني، هذا الفلسطيني الذي بات بفضل جده وجهده شخصية على فم الزمن يرددها كلما ذكرت البطولات والتضحيات وهي كذلك شخصية فرضت نفسها على ندوات السياسة العالمية في كل ميدان.
وبعد فإن "المسار" هذه الرواية الحوارية الطويلة تحكي لك الكثير مما تريد أن تعرفه فضلاً عن الكثير مما تعرفه.
