كعادته كان "فَلاَح" يذهب يومياً بأغنامه، يسابق الشمس ليرعاها ويحيا معها يومه حتى نهاية النهار نهارٌ يتبع نهار، وليلٌ يسلمه الليل، يعيش مع أغنامه وأحلامه وكلماته الضائعة في الفراغ ثم يقفل عائداً إلى بيته وحيداً لا يملك سوى فتاتٍ من أحلام بغدٍ أجمل يقتات عليها ليعيش وحدته، أما حلمه الوحيد فهو زيارة "فينسيا" رسمها لوحدة في أحلامه.
هذا الراعي المثقف صنع لنفسه حلماً ليعيش؛ فعندما تتوقف أحلامنا نمون وحتى نحيا لا بد أن يكون هناك أحلام، كان فلاح يكتب الشعر أحياناً ويكتب بعض القصص القصيرة على وقع ثغاء الأغنام.
وفي أحد الأيام وجد إعلاناً في جريدة عن مسابقة للقصة القصيرة جداً ساقته إليه الأقدار، والجائزة مغرية وقد تكون بساط الريح الذي سيحمله إلى بلاد الأحلام "فينيسيا"، فقرر أن يشارك بها في فرصته الأخيرة.
وبعد رحلة الأحلام هذه عاد "فَلاَح" إلى صحرائه وأغنامه فهل كانت الرحلة حلماً أم حقيقة، لم يرى من "فينيسيا" سوى الحمى والأمطار وإستمراراً للأحلام، قضى فَلاَح سرير المرضى بين الحلم واليقظة.
ما نملكه ليس جميلاً نسعى دوماً خلف سرابْ... نحلم أنا نملك قصراً لو نسكنه صار خرابْ... حتى البلبل فوق الشجرة لو نملكه صار غرابْ... عين المرء فضاء واسع لا يملأها غير تراب...
"فينيسيا" رواية عن الأحلام المؤجلة، عن الفردوس الأرضي، عما نظنه سعادة، وعن أشياء نفتقدها، وعندما نمتلكها نكتشف أن الأحلام أجمل من الواقع بكثير.
