هذا الجزء هو الثالث من مجموعتنا "اللاهوت المسيحي والإنسان المعاصر"، التي جاءت لتقدم تفسيراً موجزاً وواضحاً لأهم مواضيع اللاهوت العقائدي، حسب تصميم قانون الإيمان. ففي الجزء الأول تم البحث في الإيمان بالله الواحد، ثم في الخلق والخطيئة الأصلية، ثم في يسوع المسيح. الجزء الثاني عالج موضوع الروح القدس والثالوث الأقدس، ثم موضوع النعمة والتأله، ثم موضوع الكنيسة.
الجزء الثالث عالج موضوعي أسرار الكنيسة والحياة في الدهر الآتي. فبدأ ببحث في الأسرار بنوع عام. حدد فيه معنى الأسرار في تاريخ الخلاص وفي حياة المسيحي. ثم تناول كلاً من الأسرار السبعة على حدة. فعرض لجذوره في الكتاب المقدس، ثم لتطوره في تاريخ الكنيسة ثم لمعانيه اللاهوتية ثم لممارسته في الطقوس الكنيسة. وختم بتفسير ما جاء في نهاية قانون الإيمان.
تضمّ سلسلة الفكر المسيحي بين الأمس واليوم مجموعة من المؤلفات القديمة والحديثة، التي تبحث في مختلف أبعاد الإيمان المسيحي، وتفسّر مختلف مواضيع العقيدة المسيحية تفسيراً يتلاءم ومقتضيات العصر ويجيب على الأسئلة التي طرحها الفكر الإنساني على مدى العصور. وتجمع هذه السلسلة كتباً مؤلفة مباشرة باللغة العربية، وكتباً مترجمة من مؤلفات كبار المفكرين واللاهوتيين القدماء والمعاصرين.
وفي هذا الجزء الثالث نعالج موضوعي أسرار الكنيسة والحياة في الدهر الآتي. فنبدأ ببحث في الأسرار بنوع عام، نحدّد فيه معنى الأسرار في تاريخ الخلاص وفي حياة المسيحي. ثم تناول كلاًّ من الأسرار السبعة على حدة، فنعرض لجذوره في الكتاب المقدّس، ثم لتطوره في تاريخ الكنيسة ثم لمعانيه اللاهوتية ثم لممارسته في الطقوس الكنسية. ونختم بتفسير جاء في نهاية قانون الإيمان: "ونترجّى قيامة الموتى والحياة في الدهر الآتي".
