تبقى الرواقية إحدى أبرز معالم الفكر والحضارة الفينيقيين. (زينون) صاحب هذه الفلسفة هو أحد أولئك الرواد الذين كانت (قبرص) إحدى محطاتهم الحضارية, الرئيسية, ومن هذه المحطة انطلقت فلسفة (زينون) الرواقي الفينيقي السوري إلى بلدان المتوسط, لقد كانت قبرص أولاً, بعد ذلك (صيدا), و(أمافيا) ومناطق وبلدان الشريان الحيوي المتوسطي. على أيدي تلامذته وأتباعه انتشرت الرواقية, وأسهمت في إغناء وتطوير الفكر والفلسفة الاغريقيين, ومع أن المتناقضات كانت في البدايات التي جعلت الكثيرين آنذاك يطلقون على (زينون) لقب (المشاكس) غير أنه حين جاء الى (أثينا) في عام 450 قبل الميلاد استطاع أن يثير ثائرة المدينة التي سرعان ما بدا لها أن النظريات الفلسفية السائدة لا تعدو كونها مجموعة من (السخافات) غير المعقولة الى حد أن تيمون من فليوس قال أن لسان زينون ذي الحدين يستطيع أن يبرهن على أن كل قول يقوله الإنسان غير حقيقي. طريقة زينون جدلية وقد حاكاها سقراط ولو لم يتوافق معها. على كل إن الفلسفة التي بدأت في رواق فينيقي قبرصي أمام مجموعة من التلامذة, أصبحت فيما بعد فلسفة ما كان بمقدور فكر سائد آنذاك أن يتجاهلها. كانت بداية عصر في الفلسفة, تحاول هذه الدراسة أن تطل عليه وعليها. لقد تم نقلها الى العربية نظراً لأهميتها من جهة, وقلة الدراسات والمراجع التي عنيت بفلسفة تبقى آخر الأمر, إحدى أبرز المعالم في المنظومة الحضارية السورية المتكاملة.
