وقواعد الجميع مسطورة مبثوثة في كتب علم مصطلح الحديث، وفي باب السُّنة من كتب الأصول.
ويقومُ منهج التمييز على جمع قواعد علماء الحديث التي رسّخوها في مصنّفاتهم، ليميِّز طلبة العلم بين المذهبين في علم الحديث، ولحثِّ العلماء إلى الأخذ بطريقة الجمهور القوية، وترك طريقة الظاهرية الضَّعيفة، فالعلم يؤخَذُ من بابه، والحقُّ أحقُّ أن يُتَّبع، والانتشار ليس حجّةً للاتِّباع، بل الحق أولى من المنتشر، والله يهدي إلى سواء الصِّراط.
