عن الإمام زين العابدين عليه السلام: ...فحق أمك أن تعلم أنك حملتك حيث لا يحمل أحد أحدا، وأطعمتك من ثمرة قلبها ما لا يطعم أحد أحدا، وأنها وقتك بسمعها وبصرها، ويدها ورجلها، وشعرها وبشرها. وجميع جوارحها، مستبشرة فرحة، محتملة لما فيه مكروهها، وألمها وثقلها وغمها، حتى دفعتها عنك يدها القدرة وأخرجتك إلى الأرض، فرضيت أن تشبع وتجوع هي، وتكسوك وتعرى، وترويك وتظمى وتضلك وتضحى، وتنعمك ببؤسها وتلذذك بالنوم بأرقها وكان بطنها لك وعاء وحجرها لك حواء وثديها لك سقاء، ونفسها لك وقاء تباشر مر الدنيا وبردها لك ودونك، فتشكرها على قدر ذلك ولا تقدر عليه إلا بعون الله وتوفيقه".
تلك كانت الوصية الثلاثون من الوصايا 1332 وصية التي يضمها هذا الكتاب والذي يحتوي كما ذكرنا على أكثر من ألف من الحكم والمواعظ والقصص الهادفة وعلى صفات المؤمنين من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وأهل بيته رضي الله عنهم، والأئمة المعصومين سلام الله عليهم وعن لسان الحكماء والعلماء وهو عصارة الكتب التي كتبها العلماء والمفكرين.
