وفي هذا السياق يتفحص المؤلف الشعارات البارزة، ويشاهد ما يحدث في ميادين التحرير العربية، محاولاً التقاط المعنى، والهدف، والرسالة التي يبعث فيها كلَ من الحاكم والمحكوم... تحت عنوان الديمقراطية (الغربية والشرقية) يقول الكاتب "... أفضل الأمثلة على الديمقراطية الشرقية التي تتلاءم والمجتمع المحلي التجربة الصينية، والتجربة السعودية ممثلة بمجلس الشورى أولاً، وثانياً فتح الأبواب بين المواطن والمسؤول والتجربة الماليزية أيضاً نجحت رغم وجود ديانات وأعراق مختلفة مع الاحتفاظ بالهوية الوطنية والتجربة السعودية وضعت المملكة في أول درجات السلم للصعود واللحاق بالدول المتقدمة صناعياً واجتماعياً بخطى ثابتة مدروسة مع الاحتفاظ بالهوية الوطنية والعقائدية (...) والخلاصة أن أي ديمقراطية بمفهومها الواسع عند تطبيقها في شعبنا مردودها عكسياً على المواطن. لكل مجتمع معتقداته وثقافية وعاداته وتركيبته السكانية، وبناءً على هذا الأساس يجب اختيار ما يلائم الوضع".
