"عندما أنثر كلماتي يَسكُنُني شبحٌ مَجهول يُفرغُ مخزونَ حَروفَهُ بصفحاتي ويرحل... هكذا خُلقت خربشاتي... خربشاتي تُجسِّدُ مشاعراً ومواقفاً حقيقية؛ فهي من واقع الحال، وليست من الخيال".
بهذه العبارات تحكي الشاعرة حنان القطان قصة خربشاتها ضمن مناخ عام أو إطار كلي يتجه صوت ما يُعرف بالقصة الشعرية، فالشاعرة تسرد علينا تفصيلات ثانوية تدخَل ضمن لعبة الإيهام بالواقعية، وهذا الحال يتكرر مع إستمرار حركة كل قصيدة، تكشف في النهاية عن مفارقة بنائية بين الحلم والواقع، وما على القارئ إلاَّ الدخول إلى منطقة الحلم لإكتشاف ما تبوح به أمرة كانون الثاني، عن هذه التجربة الشعورية الجميلة وأبعادها، التي تظلّ تعاني في ظل غياب (الآخر) والذي تحولّ إلى هاجسٍ يلحُ في حضوره على عالم الشاعرة / الأنثى.
تقول الشاعرة حنان القطان في القصيدة المعنونة "خربشة تُصبحون على حِلْمٍ": "ألبس بيجامتي الزهرية... أتعطر بعطر الورد... أُحرّرُ ضفائري الحريريّة"، "أتغلغلُ في أحضانِ فراشي الدافئ"، "تبدا أحلام يقظتي"، "تُصبحون على حلم... يتحقق".
يضم الكتاب قصائد نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "خربشة كُلّ ليلةٍ"... "خربشة كم أتمنى"، "خربشة كحلُ عيني"، "خربشة مبسمُكَ"، "خربشة سأرحل"، "خربشة في كابينة القطار"، "خربشة على الشاطئ"، "خربشة حين تُقبّلُني"، "خربشة حُبّي الأبدي"... وخربشات أخرى.
