سوف يطّلع القارئ في هذا الكتاب على ما يوجّهه المؤلف من إنتقاد إلى طريقة التفكير السلبي التي اعتاد عليها العقل البشري، والتي تقسم الحقيقة الكلّية إلى حقائق أصغر وأقل كمالاً تنتظم في مستويات أفقية متراكبة بعضها فوق بعض إرتفاعاً ودنوا حسب درجة تعقيدها، بحيث ترتبط حقائق المستوى الواحد بسلاسل من العلاقات السببية.
ويرى المؤلف أن هذا النمط من التفكير وحيد الجانب لا يسمح بالوصول إلى الحقيقة الكلّية، بل يُبقينا أسرى الحقائق الجزئية.
ويستند المؤلف في طروحاته إلى مبدأ "القطبية" كطريقة تفكير شاملة، عرفها الفكر البشري منذ القدم ولكنه أهملها، وهي تقينا عبر فهمها والإعتياد عليها من مطاردة حقائق جزئية لا تروي ظمأ العقل البشري وتعطشه إلى المعرفة الشاملة.
كما ويطرح المؤلف في هذا السياق نتائج تجاربه الطبية لسنين طويلة في مجال ما يسمه "فن شفاء المرضى"، والتي استخدم فيها طرائق للشفاء بعيدة عن الكيمياء والمداواة: كالتنويم المغناطيسي والمعالجة بالمثل والمعالجة بالقمص، منتقداً طرائق وتقنيات الطب العلمي المادي الذي يعتمد معالجة الأعراض المرضية بحميِّة عالية من دون الإكتراث كثيراً بالمريض الإنسان الذي هو كلّ متكامل ووحدة لا تتجزأ.
