"حوار غير خاص مع زوجتي" حكايا شخصياتها مسلوخة من نماذج المجتمع اللبناني، حتى لنخالها بيننا كل يوم، تحاورنا، نحاورها، نتعرف إليها في سهولة، فنحس بأننا في هذا الكتاب أليفين مع شخصيات أليفة. ونزار دندنش إذ يسترجع في بعض قصصه بعض ملامح من سنوات الجمر في لبنان فليس لكي يعيدنا إلى الجرح، وإنما لكي يطلعنا منه في مناخ من العبر البالغة الجرح، ولو هو في سياق محاربة الجشع. ونزار دندش في الحور غير الخاص مع زوجتي يكتب قصة قصيرة يعتمدها وسيلة للتعبير، فيطيعه التعبير، وتنقاد له الوسيلة. في لغته انسياب لا يعتمد التعبير المركب، بل يتخذ اللغة جسراً بينه وبين القارئ، من دون أن يحاول زخرفة هذا الجسد.
