في كتابه (السير الحثيث إلى الإستشهاد بالحديث في النحو العربي) يؤكد الدكتور "محمود فجال" أن الحديث النبوي هو المصدر الثاني من مصادر "النحو العربي" بعد "القرآن الكريم" وهو يشتمل على قسمين: القسم الأول: دراسة ثرة لدحض شبهات مانعي الإحتجاج بالحديث الشريف لقواعد النحو، القسم الثاني: دراسة نحوية للأحاديث الواردة في "شرح الكافية" لــ "الرضِيِّ".
فكان المؤلف بهذا الكتاب داحضاً للشُبهِ التي تعلَّق بها من منع الإستشهاد "بالحديث النبوي" في تقعيد "النحو العربي"، وذلك في القسم الأول، ثم أتبعه بدراسة نحوية جادةٍ، قوامها الأحاديث النبوية التي أوردها المحقق "الرَّضُّي" – 686هـ في شرحه لـِ "الكافية" والكافية – خلاصة نحوية، اختصر فيها "ابن الحاجب" – 646هـ "المفصل" لـِ "الزمخشري" – 538هـ، وقد حوت مقاصد النحو بأسرها.
لأجل ذلك، نرى المؤلف يتتبع القضية في مظانها، ويذكر أقوال العلماء فيها، ويعلق عليها، ثم يُرجح، مع الأدلة الدامغة، والحجج الواضحة، ثم يخرج الحديث الشريف تخريجاً وافياً شاملاً، بل يرد على من أخطأ في التخريج، ويطلب منه التثبت، والكتاب في مجمله مفيد لغوياً ونحوياً وقد حوى طائفة من الأسرار العربية، والفوائد الحديثية، وبهذا يكون كتاباً جامعاً أراده المؤلف خدمة للنحو العربي المتمثل في "الحديث النبوي الشريف".
