Book Description
ابن كثير، مصنف هذا الكتاب، هو إسماعيل بن عمر بن كثير بن درع القرشي الحصيلي القيسي البصري الأصل، ثم الدمشقي النشأة، الشافعي المذهب، عماد الدين أبو الفداء، ولد ابن كثير في قرية من أعمال بصرى بالشام تسمى "مجدل القرية" سنة 771هـ. وقد كان لبيئته العلمية التي نشأ فيها تأثير في مسيرة حياته العلمية حيث كان انكبابه على دراسة العلوم الدينية من تفسير وأصول وحديث، متميزاً، مما هيأه لاحتلال منصب متميز أيضاً في مجال التأليف. فقد أثمرت الثقافات الواسعة التي احتضنها ابن كثير بين جوانحه، وحملها طيلة حياته في صدره، مؤلفات ومصنفات، في شتى فنون المعرفة والعلوم.
وكتابه "قصص الأبنياء" واحد من مؤلفاته الهامة. يقوم منهج ابن كثير فيه على عدة خصائص وأسس تميزه في بابه، وتجعل منه كتاباً فريداً من نوعه، ومن هذه الخصائص ما يلي: أولاً: اهتمامه بالإحاطة بالأخبار والاستقصاء في روايتها من مختلف الطرق، وهو بهذا يعتبر مرجعاً وافياً لهذا الفن من القصص. ثانياً: تميزه بالتحقق والتدقيق في الأخبار التي يسوقها؛ حيث كانت كل أخباره مدعمة بالدليل والحجة، كذلك فإنه تكلم عن حال هذه الأخبار من حيث الصحة أو الضعف. ثالثاً: كان ابن كثير مهتماً بسياق قصص الأنبياء، مورداً فيها مقاصد القرآن الكريم التي أبرزت العظة والعبرة فيها. رابعاً: اهتمامه أيضاً بدفع الشبه التي كان يوردها أهل الكتاب، وبعض المفسرين المتلقين عنهم مفنداً إياها، وموضحاً فسادها.
