الموت في الحرب أمر عادي جداً، مثله كمثل العيش تماما عادي، بل هوضروري، أو على الأصح، لا مفر منه.
والموت ليس مرعبا في ساحة الحرب، وليس ذلك لأن الإنسان جريء بطبعه، جسور، إلخ . . . بل لعدم توفر الوقت للخوف.
يبقى المقاتلون في الحرب أحياء مصادفة. الموت ليس مصادفة، بل الحياة في المصادفة.
