نشرت هذه المقالات على العموم بعد استشهاد السيد محمد صادق الصدر، وإذا كان فيها ما قد يستحق أن يقرأ اليوم أو يلاحظ فإن ذلك يتجلى ربما فقط في الجانب الذي يتعلق بالصلة التي تربط بين ظاهرة تولدت في الداخل وبين أخرى وجدت في الخارج وحملت في الفترة ذاتها تقريباً نفس الملامح والأسس والتصورات. ولا يمكننا طبعاً أن نقارن ما قد مثله السيد الصدر من مأثرة في تاريخ العراق خلال العقد الذي أعقب انتفاضة آذار/شعبان/1991، بما قد ظهر في الخارج من آراء ووجهات نظر أسست في وقت لاحق لما اصطلح على تسميته بالتيار الوطني المعارض، إلا أن حكم التاريخ والظروف وامتداد فعلها يجب أن يلحظ عندما تظهر عنها تجسيدات مستقلة ومتباعدة ولكنها تنم عن تطلعات مشتركة.
