"مَرَّتْ جدائلُك الجميلة ليتني... أدركتها قبل الرحيل فأثملُ"... "يا لهفَ دربي لو تشاركنا الخطى... وتراقصتْ فوق الظلال سنابلُ..."...
قدم للمجموعة بقراءة نقدية الشاعر سعد الدين شاهين، ومما جاء فيها: "... إسلام علقم شاعر يعزف على أوتار شعرية متنوعة شكلاً ومعنى مُنتجاً شعراً بلغة فصيحة وسهلة دون مواربة تروق السامع والقارئ معاً في عتبته الشعرية الأول...".
