يشكل هذا الكتاب قراءة في "ديوان البُرَعيّ" عبد الرحيم بن أحمد بن علي البرعي (توفي 1400م) أعد الدراسة الأستاذ محمد عبد الرحيم، خصّ المقدمة الرئيسية للكتاب حول معجزات رسول الله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعنه يقول: وبما أن الإمام عبد الرحيم البرعي لا توجد له الأقوال والحكم في الكتب، آثرنا أن يكون باب (الشعر العربي في معجزات رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم). وفي هذا الإطار، يُعرّف المؤلف بشاعره البرعي اليماني "شاعر متصوف، من سكان (النيابتين) أفتى ودرّس وقرأ الفقه والنحو على جماعةٍ من أئمة وقته، فلما تأهل للتدريس والفتوى، أتته الطلبة من أماكن شتى، واشتهر بالعلم والعمل. ويتابع المؤلف عمله بتثبيت الشعر أولاً، للبرعيّ، موثقاً أشعاره بالحديث النبوي الشريف، ثم تخريج الديوان تخريجاً صحيحاً حسب الطريقة النتي يتعارف عليها أرباب هذا المجال معتمداً على الصحيحين والسنن الربعة، وكذلك مسند الإمام أحمد وغيرها من كتب الأحاديث، ثم جعل لكل حديث عنواناً.
وبناءً على ما تقدم يشتمل الكتاب على (مدائح نبوية) للشاعر البُرَعيّ توزعت بحسب الترتيب الألفبائي وتبدأ بالهمزة ... وتنتهي بقافية الألف المقصورة.
