Book Description
"وداعاً للإسكندرية التي تفقدها" مئة وعشرون قصيدة جاءت من ترجمة "سعدي يوسف" للشاعر اليوناني "قسطنطين كافافي" المولود في الإسكندرية سنة 1863، والمتوفى فيها سنة 1933م.
اتبع "كافافي" في شعره مسارب التاريخ القديم وطعمة بحس جمالي، حيث وجدت مخيلته في التآلف الهلينستي للحضارات والأجناس، في مدن كالإسكندرية وأنطاكية حيث يشكل الأغريقي والوثني والمسيحي والفيلسوف والقسيس والبربري محوراً لقصائده، يقول "سعدي يوسف" في مقدمة الكتاب "... ما الذي منح كافافي هذه القدرة على تقديم شعر بهذا الكمال، وبنفاذ البصيرة هذه؟.
لقد أعانه بالتأكيد، إكتشافه ما يرقى إلى ميثولوجيا شخصية: شخصيات متخيلة، أو حقيقية، في الساعة الهللينستية في آسيا، أو مقدونيا، أو مصر، هيأت له (كما أشار س.م. بورا) رموزاً ملائمة لعبقريته، شأن ميثولوجيا إيرلندة القديمة بالنسبة للييش، أو حكايات "الكأس القديمة" بالنسبة لأليوت في قصيدة "الأرض الخراب" لقد تهيأت لكافافي نظرة حديثة وفريدة إلى العالم...
يقول في قصيدة بعنوان [لم تفهم] "عن آرائنا الدينية... قال جوليان الغبي: "قرأت، فهمت، أدنتُ"... لكأنه أباءنا بكلمته "أدنتُ" هذا الهزأة مثل هذا الحذف لم يمرّ بيننا، نحن المسيحيين... "قرأت، لكنك لم تفهم... إذ لو فهمتَ لما أدنتَ... هكذا أحببناه، فوراً".
