يضمّ هذا الكتاب موضوع التناص الذي فرض ذاته في نهاية الستينيات، بحيث صار المفهوم السائد عند "جوليا كريستيفا" من حيث سياقه النظري.
وحين بلغ الذروة في التنظير احتفل به الحقل النقدي، وظل منذ ذلك الحسن الموضوع المبتكر والأسلوب المتجدّد عند (جنيت ويارت ولدى الشكلانيين الروس).
وفضلاً عن ذلك فقد اعتراه بعض التنوع في المنهج والتناقض في الأسلوب، وبالتالي لم يعرف تعريفاً معيناً ولم يقتصر على تحديد فريد، ومجمل ذلك أن غاية الكتاب عرض هذه المقاربات المتناثرة، وترد في ضوء تحليلات متنوعة من خلال التطبيقات.
ولا غرابة فإن النّمذجة تتناول بصورة وألوانها وتطبيقاتها (الشاهد، والتلميح، والإنتحال، والمحاكاة الساخرة، إلخ...) وتقوم كل هذه الأشكال على توضيح تلك الأمثلة المختلفة التي تلح على ذاكرة القارئ ومعرفته من خلال تدوين طريقة متناصة تحاول "ناتالي" سبر أغوارها.
وختاماً، فقد جسّد هذا الكتاب جماليات غنيّة الموارد عند إثراء تلك الكتابة التناصيّة التي ترقى بأسلوبها وتسعى لتغذية المتخيّل في النّص.
