إبراهيم بن محمد بن أبي عون أحمد بن المنجم، أبو إسحاق: أديب، من أشياع الشلمغاني وثقاته ببغداد.
له كتاب (النواحي) في أخبار البلدان، و (الجوابات المسكتة - خ) باسم (الاجوبة المسكتة) في جامعة الرياض (249 ص) (4).
و (التشبيهات - ط) و (الدواوين) و (الرسائل) و (بيت مال السرور) قتله الراضي العباسي صلبا مع الشلمغاني، بعد أن عرض عليه أن يتبرأ من الشلمغاني ولم يفعل

زادك الله في الأدب رغبة وللعلوم محبةً ووفقك للحُجَّة وذلك على المَحجَّة وأعانك على طلبك بالرُّشد وأظفَرَك بالغرض عند الفحص سألتني أعزك الله أن يثبت المؤلف أن في كتاب التشبيهات أبياتاً من تشبيهات الشعراء الواقعة وبدائعهم فيها الظريفة وقد تقدم الناس في إختيار الشعر وتمييزه غير أنهم لم يصنفوه أبواباً وذلك أنّ الشعر مقسوم على ثلاثة أنحاء منه المثل السائر كقول الأخطل [البسيط]، ومنه الإستعارة الغريبة كقول الطرماح [الطويل]، ومنه التشبيه الواقع النادر كقول امرئ القيس في العقاب [الطويل].
وما خرج من هذه الأقسام الثلاثة فكلام وسط أو دون لا طائل فيه ولا فائدةً ولذلك عمل المؤلف على إجلاء هذه الأنحاء وأصعبها على صانعها التشبيه وذلك أنه لا يقع إلا لمن طال تأمله ولطف حسه وميز بين الأشياء بلطيف فكره وقد أنبثق في هذا الكتاب أبياتاً من التشبيه مختارة ويخلل المعاني المختلفة والتشبيهات المتداولة إلى الأبيات الطريفة النادرة وأقتصر على جملة يكون لك فيها حظّ ومتعة وتأدب ورياضة وتجنب الإطالة التي يتلقاها الملالة وأتبع ذلك بكتاب في الأمثال وكتاب في الإستعارة.
