تحدث المؤلف في هذا الكتاب عن فضل الصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم (أفضل الصلوات على سيد السادات) وجعل الكتاب قسمين وخاتمة القسم الأول بين فيه فضلها إجمالاً وفوائدها، والقسم الثاني أفصّل فيه غرر كيفياتها وفرائدها، وأنسب كل صيغة إلى أهلها مع بيان رواتها وفضلها.
ويشتمل القسم الأول على سبعة فصول: الفصل الأول في تفسيران الله وملائكته الآية وما يناسبها من الأقوال، الفصل الثاني: في الأحاديث التي ورد فيها الترغيب في الصلاة عليه صلى الله عليه وسلم بصيغة الأمر ونحوه وما ورد فيها ذكر الإعداد كقوله عليه الصلاة والسلام من صلى على واحدة صلى الله عليه وسلم بها عشرا وما يناسب ذلك؛ الفصل الثالث: في الأحاديث التي ورد فيها الحث على الصلاة عليه صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم الجمعة وليلتها وبيان حكمة ذلك، الفصل الرابع في الأحاديث التي ورد فيها الترغيب في الإكثار من الصلاة عليه صلى الله عليه وسلم وما يتعلق بذلك من النقول.
أما الفصل الخامس في الأحاديث التي ورد فيها ذكر شفاعته صلى الله عليه وسلم لمن يصلى عليه أو الترغيب في الصلاة عليه مطلقاً، الفصل السادس: في الأحاديث التي ورد فيها التحذير من ترك الصلاة عليه عند ذكره صلى الله عليه وسلم والنقول التي تناسب ذلك، الفصل السابع: في بيان الفوائد الجمة والمنافع المهمة التي تحصل في الدنيا والآخرة لمن يصلى عليه صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو إجمال التفصيل المتقدم في الفصول السابقة وزيادة.
ويشتمل القسم الثاني على سبعين كيفية للصلاة عليه صلى الله عليه وسلم هي أكمل الكيفيات وأفضل الصلوات مع بيان فوائدها ومن رواها، وشرح منافعها ومزاياها، والصلاة المتممة للسبعين هي الصلاة الكبرى لسلطان الأولياء سيدنا عبد القادر الجيلاني رضي الله عنه وهي وحدها تشتمل على أكثر من سبعين صلاة كل واحدة منها ذات فضل عظيم نقلت من شرحها السيد "عبد الغني النابلسي"، وتشتمل الخاتمة على سبع قصائد فرائد، جعلها لخرائد هذه الصلوات قلائد.
