يقول الفقير المذنب يوسف بن اسمعيل النبهاني انى تفكرت في كثرة ذنوبي وقلة اعمالي الصالحة فعظم بذلك بلائي وغلب خوفي علي رجائي ثم ألهمني الله سبحانه ان لا دواء لهذا الداء انفع من صدق الالتجاء إلي سيد المرسلين وحبيب رب العالمين فقد قال تعالى اليه الوسيلة وهو صلى الله عليه وسلم أعظم الوسائل والوسائط لديه وافضل الخلائق واحبهم اليه وهاانا قد التجأت إلي جنابه الكريم صلي الله عليه وسلم وخدمته بهذا المجموع الذي جمعته في فضل الصلاة عليه صلي الله عليه وسلم وسميته "افضل الصلوات علي سيد السادات" وجعلته قسمين وخاتمة القسم الأول ابين فيه فضلها اجمالاً وفوائدها والقسم الثاني افصل فيه غرر كيفياتها وفرائدها وانسب كل صيغة إلي أهلها مع بيان رواتها وفضلها وليس لي ذلك ادنى فضل الا مجرد النقل ولم آل جهداً في اختيار الكتب المعتمدة واهليها وعز وجميع الاقوال إلي قائليها اما الاحاديث الشريفة التي ذكرتها في فصول القسم الأول فاني ابين هنا الكتب التى نقلتها منها ورويتها عنها روما للاختصار وفراراً من ركاكة التكرار والاذكار للامام محيي الدين النووى والمواهب اللدنية للعلامة أحمد القسطلاني وكشف الغمة ولواقح الانوار كلاهما للوارث المحمدي بحر الشريعة لخاتمة المحققين سيدي عبد الوهاب الشعراني والزواجر والجوهر المنظم كلاهما للولي الكبير ابي عبدالله محمد بن سليمان الجزولي الحسني وشرحها الشيخي واستاذي خادم سنة رسول الله العلامة الشيخ حسن العدوي المصري.
