"فلسفة الدين" مصطلح يراد به إمكانية الدرس الفلسفي لمقولة الدين، لكن ما معنى أن نتفلسف حول الدين؟ وهل الدين يتيح ذلك أصلاً؟ وإن كان لا يتيحه، مَن يعطي الفلسفة دور الزعامة والمركزية في إستنطاق النص والعقيدة والسلوك الديني إستنطاقاً عقلانياً؟ وهل من عقلانية في الدين؟ وهل يصح حقاً أن نقول: إن فلسفة الدين هي؛ دراسة اللامعقول بآليات عقلانية؟ وهل سيبقى شيء من الدين في خضم محاكمة العقل؟.
كما سبق؛ يفتح فضاءً فكرياً وخاصاً بموضوع فلسفة الدين؛ إنه السؤال الذي يشكل المنظومة الفلسفية، في قُبال منظومة الإجابات التي يشكلها الدين، فبين الشكل والدهشة والتأمل والإستفهام المزمن من جهة، وبين اليقين والطمأنينة والقنوع والإجابة اليقينية الإيمانية من جهة أخرى، حجاج سجالي لا حدّ له.
هنا يبزغ فجر عقل يراد له من جديد أن يعيد إمكانيات خروج الإنسان من قصوره، إن فلسفة الدين بما تحويه من سؤال الدين عن طبيعته وسلوكه وتقاليده، إنما تعيد هيبة الإنسان الذي ضاع في الميثوس، أساطير قديمة وعصرانية لا حدّ لجريان إنسكابها في الواقع المعاش، في كل ما يراد لنا أن نستعيد معنى كينونتنا بالسؤال.
السؤال الذي يعني إمكانيتنا على التفكر في قبال ما هو ممنوع، ما هو طابو، ما هو مقدس، بأدوات المرغوب والمباح والمدنس.
وجاء كتابنا هذا بحثاً ورصداً وفحصاً نقداً لما يشكل معنى الدين، وطبيعته، وسلوكياته، وما الذي تبقى منه؟ فهو كتاب في فلسفة الدين، تضمن بعض شذرات من الفلسفات الدينية لكنه أيضاً كان متفحصاً لخطابها.
فالكتاب يهدف إلى كشف العلاقة المفاهيمية بين الفلسفة والدين، كما يعمل على عرض وتحليل مجمل النظريات التي فسرت العلاقة بينهما، من العصر الحديث وحتى الفترة المعاصرة.
