الكتاب يحتوي على قصص أعجبتني لما فيها من دروس وتجارب وعبر، تفيد الإنسان في كافة مجالات حياته، الدينية والدنيوية، ومن يعتبر بها يزداد وعيه، وتقوى همته، ويتغلب على مشاكله، وينجح في عمله، ويصير ذا بصيرة في فهم أمور الحياة.
من وحي هذه القصص نقرأ: "عمليَّة جراحية أورثت الشفاء في السمع والنطق، ذلك أنَّه كان رجل يُسمَّى (أرنست باباج) مغرماً بالملاكمة والمباراة فيها، وبينما هو يلاكم مرَّة أصيب بلكمة في عنقه فجعلته أصمّ أبكم، وبقي هكذا مدَّة عامين، وبعد ذلك دخلت شظية في إحدى أصابعه فقصد طبيباً جرَّاح لإخراجها لأنَّ إصبعه التهبت فكانت العمليَّة شديدة الصعوبة قاسية الألم، فلما أخرج الشظية شفي تمام الشفاء من المرضين معاً فقابله أحد رفاقه فأراد أن يأخذه من ذراعه فصرخ قائلاً: (دعني وحدي فإنِّي بخير الآن) فهذه أعادت له حاسَّة السمع والنطق. انتهى".
"ما نذوقه في الدُّنيا من الألم لعلَّه أشبه بآلام هذا المريض عند إستخراج الشظية من إصبعه وإنفتاح البصيرة لمعرفة جمال هذه الدُّنيا الموصدة أبواب علومها أمامنا أشبه بما حصل له من شفاء سمعه ونطقه".
