عسى أن تكون الأيّام الباقية من عمري من أجل الأيّام اتي لم أعشها، كما أن أجمل الأزهار هي التي لم تتفتح بعد، وأجمل الكلمات والذكريات هي التي لم أقلها ولم أسمعها.
لقد علمتني الحياة أنّ غروب الشمس هو رمز للنفس حين تغيب، كما علّمتني الحياة أن دنيانا وإغترارنا بها لأيّام طويلة ما هو إلاّ وهم، كما علّمتني الحياة أن الحكيم هو من خالط الناس، وغضّ الطرف، وسامح الناس مهما كان السبب، هناك الآلاف من النساء والرجال الذين ينكمش ذكرهم أمام الزمن، وهناك مئات من النساء والرجال ينكمش الزمن أمام ذكرهم.
أن تزحف قافلة الزمن وتمحو ذكر الراحلين فهذه سنّة الحياة وسنّة الله في خلقه، أمّا أن يُختصر الزمن ويقف مشدوها أمام ذكر لا يُمحى واسمٍ لا يُخفى، فهذه ظاهرة تميز الخالدات والخالدين والعظيمات والعظماء.
هم لبسوا رموزاً وضاءةً يبتلع التاريخ سيّرهم في جوفه، إنّما هم رموزٌ شامخةً يمتطي التاريخ سيرهم لأنها لم تكن جوفاء بل مليئة وحافلة وغنية بالأعمال الكبار والإنجازات الضخمة، ولم يستطع نهر الأيّام أن يغمرها.
