يروي هذا الكتاب المصور والموجه للأطفال قصة أصحاب السفينة، وهي القصة التي ضرب الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم مثلاً بها للمسلمين فقال عليه الصلاة والسلام: "مثل القائم في حدود الله والواقع فيها كمثل قوام استهموا على سفينة، فصار بعضهم أعلاها، وبعضهم أسفلها. وكان الذين في أسلفها إذا استقوا من الماء مروا على من فوقهم. فقالوا: لو أنا خرقنا في نصيبنا خرقاً، ولم نؤذ من فوقنا!! فإن تركوهم وما أرادوا هلكوا جميعاً، وإن أخذوا على أيديهم نجوا، ونجوا جميعاً".
وهدفه من هذا الحديث تقريب حال الدنيا والحياة من إفهام الناس، حيث أن الدنيا والحياة مثل السفينة الكبيرة، فلو ترك المخطئ يفعل ما يشاء فإنه سيتمادى ويفرض السفينة كلها.
