في وصايا العطر تصوغ رانيا كرباج - الفنانة التشكيلية والشاعرة - اللون إحساساً والإحساس كلمة، وتسكب ذلك كله في قارورة عطر تقطرها كل ساعة لتحولها إلى مجموعة من الوصايا العطرية أو الشعرية أو الجسدية أو الشعورية، سمّها ما شئت فلن تكون إلا تصالحاً مع الذات ومع الآخرين.
في قصيدة بعنوان [كلمني] تقول الشاعرة: "كلمني عنك... عن السما... وعن الأرض... حدثني عن سرّك... وعن عطرك... عن صخب الوجود... وعن سكونِ بلا حدود... كلمني... قبل أن ينتهي الكلام... ويبدأ الحزن مرحلة القطيعة...".
يضم الكتاب مجموع قصائد في الشعر العربي الحديث جاءت بعناوين مختلفة نذكر منها: "مرآة"، "تفيض شموع"، "اقرآني"، "اسمع"، "قمر"، "كالنهار"... إلخ.
