حسان علي حلاق (1946 - ) هو كاتب وأكاديمي لبناني وُلد ببيروت عام 1946 بمنطقة الطريق الجديدة، حصل على دبلوم عال في الدراسات الإسلامية ثم ماجستير في التاريخ عام 1977، وبعدها حصل على الدكتوراه من جامعة الإسكندرية عام 1981، ألّف حلاق عدة مؤلفات وقد ترجم عديد منها إلى الألمانية والإنجليزية. وهو عضو في اتحاد الكتاب اللبنانيين. وحائز على جائزة جامعة الإسكندرية التقديرية عام 2007. متزوج وله ولدان وثلاث بنات.

ألّف حلاق أكثر من خمسين مؤلفاً في مواضيع تاريخية وإسلامية، ومن أشهرها:

إن التربويين الغربيين والعرب، استخدموا مجازاً مصطلح "طرق أو طرائق التدريس" والمقصود بمصطلح التدريس هو "طرق أو طرائق التعليم"، لأن التدريس منفصلاً عن التعليم يشكل طريقة تقليدية بالية غير مجدية، في حين أن الهدف الأسمى من التدريس هو التعليم والإرتقاء بالتلاميذ والطلاب لكسف العلوم والمعارف المتنوعة.
فالتعلم (Learning) هو التغير الحاصل في سلوك المتعلم أو التلميذ بسبب ما اكتسبه من خبرة وعلوم، أما التعليم (Teaching) أو التدريس، فهو العملية التي يقوم بها المعلم أو المدرس لتحقيق أهداف العملية التعليمية، وإيصال معلومات الدرس إلى التلميذ، وبمعنى آخر فإن التعلم والتعليم توأمان في العملية التعليمية، يتفاعلان ويتصلان ويتبادلان المؤثرات الإيجابية والسلبية على السواء.
لذا، فإن من الأهمية بمكان، أن يكون المدرس متقناً لمبادئ ونظريات التعلم (Learning Theories) والتي سترد تباعاً في سياق فصول الدراسة.
من جهة ثانية فالملاحظ، أن القرآن الكريم، ركز كثيراً على العلم والتعلم فقد ورد في القرآن الكريم: ﴿قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ﴾... [سورة الزمر: الآية 9]. ﴿إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ﴾... [سورة فاطر: الآية 28].
