هذا الكتاب حلقة جديدة من حلقات التبسيط اللغوي الذي أخذنا على عاتقنا القيام به لسد ثغرة هامة في تطوير التعليم اللغوي وهو يتعلق بالأميين الذين لا يعرفون إلا القليل القليل من اللغة العربية. انطلاقاً من هذا فقد قام "أحمد الخوص" بتأليف هذا الكتاب لسد هذا الفراغ وتحبيب هذه الشرائح من المجتمع بلغتها العربية وتقريبها إلى أذهان الناس كما يفعل الإنكليز في نشر لغتهم في شتى أنحاء الأرض.
والكتاب محاولة جادة لتبسيط هذه المادة وتقديمها بلغة سهلة وواضحة، وهو ينقسم إلى قسمين: الإملاء ومبادئه الأساسية كالهمزة والتاء المربوطة والألف اللينة والوصل والقطع والحذف والزيادة... أما القسم الثاني فيتعلق بأوليات النحو العربي وتطبيقه على أمثلة واضحة وسهلة ليستطيع القارئ أن يتعلم هذه القواعد بسهولة ويسر، والكتاب يتعلق بالمبادئ الأساسية كالاسم والفعل والحرف والمعرب والمبني والماضي والمضارع والأمر والجملة الإسمية كالمبتدأ والخبر وإن واسمها وخبرها.
