إن ديوان الشاعرة وفاء الأيوبي، يعترف بالظلال على أوراقه، ما دامت صاحبته تردد: "النفس ما زالت شريدة/ ما زالت أرسمها وأمحوها/ ظلالاً على الورق".
هي شاعرة لم تخذلها الكلمات.. بل ولم تعيقها تزاحمات الحروف، تكتب بنفس خاص من أعماقها فتأتي القصائد أنين من قلب.. و عصف من إيمان عميق بالرضوخ للقدر، وآية ذلك خاتمة الديوان في هذه الأشعار التي رسمت صورة الرحيل والإبتعاد، والتبعثر والسقوط، عند أقدام القمم العالية، كما في قول الشاعرة : "الأجيال تلاحقت... الآمال تنأى/ النجوم ما زالت مبعثرة/ والأحلام تهوي عند أقدام القمم!".
يضم الديوان قصائد متنوعة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من عناوينها "إحتاج إليك"، عبر الأثير"، "سفر"، "طير الفينيق"...إلخ.
