هو قاص وروائي فلسطيني من مواليد عام 1942 في قرية ذكرين قضاء الخليل, فلسطين.
انخرط في صفوف المقاومة الفلسطينية واستلم عدة مناصب في مؤسسات منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية.
عمل نائباً لرئيس تحرير مجلة الكاتب الفلسطيني الصادرة عن اتحاد الكتاب العرب والصحفيين الفلسطينيين في بيروت.
عضو في جمعية القصة والرواية.
من مؤلفاته: ذكرى الأيام الماضية - قصص - بيروت 1970.
أيام الحرب والموت- رواية - بيروت 1973.
بيت أخضر ذو سقف قرميدي- قصص- بغداد 1974.
البكاء على صدر الحبيب- رواية - بيروت 1974.

"في ذلك المساء الشتوي، الضبابي، أشعلت زينب مشعلاً، وفي دقائق قليلة، تأججت المشاعل تحت الظلام والضباب، فصارت للمدينة عيون، وسرى دفء ودوّى رصاص عشوائي، ومرقت سيارات الداوريّات في وسط المدينة مطلقة أبواقها مشعلة أضواءها العالية. يا لها من مدينة! منذ ألوف الأعوام وهي تشعل النيران على رؤوس جبالها، فترى المدن والقرى البعيدة وتتنبه وتستعد للقتال. كانت الشعل تنتقل على القمم من نابلس إلى القدس إلى عكا الشريفة، وتدور وتدور وتشرئب النيران. ها هي الأبواب تنشق عن الخلق، وها المدينة تنبض بقوة، وها زينب العاشقة تندفع متمنية لو أن مصطفى معها، إلى جدارها، يحمل مشعلاً، ويضغط بيده على يدها. خالي: أنا أحب هذه المدينة، عندك حق، فهي جميلة رشيقة شجاعة.. مثلك! يا خالي.. يا زينب: نابلس هي قلب فلسطين، لست أستغرب أبداً هذا الحب في شوارعها وأزقتها وشرفاتها وتحت أقواسها وعرائش ياسمينها، مدينة نارية حقاً، هذه المدينة المشتعلة دائماً هي من برج الجوزاء".
