لقد أصبح انتشار "الوسائل التعليمية" مصطلحاً وإستعمالاً شيئاً مألوفاً عند معظم فئات المجتمع المثقف منها وغير المثقف، العاملة في نطاق التعليم أم غير العاملة، ولما للوسائل التعليمية من دور وأهمية في ميدان التدريس فإن جميع المؤسسات التعليمية على مستوياتها كافة أصبحت توجه جزءاً كبيراً من إهتماماتها لتوفير الوسائل، وتأكيد ضرورة إستخدامها والإستفادة منها في عملية التدريس.
