من الأحكام والمسائل المعقدة التي يبتلي بها أغلب النساء، هي: الدماء الثلاثة (الحيض، والاستحاضة، والنفاس)، والسبب في ذلك، هو تشعب مسائلها، واختلاف حالات النساء فيها، بين امرأة وأخرى، من حيث وقت العادة، وعدد أيامها، وتغير صفة الدم، والاشتباه بين الحيض والاستحاضة، إلى ما هناك من أمور...
وتبرز أهمية معرفة هذه الأحكام نظراً لعلاقتها بالعابدة، كالصلاة، والصوم والحج، وبالطهارة بالنسبة لمس القرآن الكريم، ودخول المساجد، أو علاقة الرجل بالمرأة من حيث حرمة العلاقة الجنسية أثناءها، وعدة الطلاق المتوقفة عليها، وغير ذلك...
إضافة إلى ما سبق، ومن خلال الأسئلة الكثيرة التي ترد من النساء لبيان حكم كل واحدة منهن، لا سيما أن أغلب النساء لا يعرفن تفاصيل هذه الأحكام بشكل دقيق، بل البعض لا يعرفن حساب الأيام والليالي من حيث بداية العادة أو نهايتها، رأى السيد "شريف سيد العاملي" أن يوضح هذه الأبحاث في مسائل وجداول وأشكال وألوان وإخراج فني أنيق.
يتضمن هذا الكتاب أربعة مباحث أساسية، في الحيض، والنفاس، والاستحاضة، والغسل، في 82 مسألة فقهية و113 جدولاً، ورمزت باللون الأحمر الحيض، والبرتقالي إلى النفاس، والأصفر إلى الاستحاضة، والأبيض إلى النهار، والأسود إلى الليل.
واعتمد في هذه الأبحاث عن نص فقه الشريعة لسماحة السيد محمد حسين فضل الله، ولكي يكتمل العمل وتعم الفائدة للجميع، أورد أغلب الآراء في المسائل الخلافية لأربعة من المراجع العظام، وهم: السيد الخوئي، السيد الخميني، السيد السيستاني، السيد الخامنئي.
هذا الكتاب محاول لفهم الحكم الشرعي على أساس وسائل الإيضاح المعتمدة على الرسوم والألوان، والجداول والأشكال، خصوصاً أن أحكام النساء التي هي موضع ابتلاء، في الحيض والاستحاضة والنفاس، من المسائل المعقدة في الفهم والتطبيق، وتحتاج إلى توضيح وبيان، استناداً إلى آراء المراجع العظام، فكان هذا الكتاب!!
