شارك في مؤتمرات الطب الإسلامي ومؤتمرات مكافحة التدخين والمسكرات والمخدرات بأبحاث عدة، وشارك في المجامع الفقهية المنعقدة في مكة المكرمة (رابطة العالم الإسلامي) وفي جدة وعمان والكويت (مجمع الفقه الإسلامي التابع لمنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي) وشارك في ندوات المنظمة الإسلامية للعلوم الطبية بالكويت ومؤتمرات الأطباء العرب في عمان وغيرها.
ألقى مئات المحاضرات عن التدخين، والخمور، والمخدرات والأمراض الجنسية والإيدز والإعجاز الطبي في القرآن .. إلخ في العديد من الجامعات والأندية والمدارس كماشارك في أبحاث هيئة الإعجاز العلمي ومؤتمراتها

"سقطرى" تلك الجزيرة القابعة في المحيط الهندسي جنوب جزيرة العرب، هي تلك التي اشتهرت في التاريخ القديم بأنها جزيرة المرّ واللبان والصبر وشجرة دم الأخوين (القدم) ونسجت حولها الأساطير، وذكرها هوميروس في "الألياذة"، وتغنى بها قدماء المصريين وأسموها بأنخ، أي الجزيرة السحرية.
ودخلت في أساطير اليونان والرومان والبابليين والفراعنة والهنود. وفي هذا الكتاب الذي جاء حول "سقطرى" يحاول المؤلف التنبيه إلى أهمية هذه الجزيرة وما فيها من ثروات نباتية وحيوانية وسمكية، وما تستحقه من مشاريع لإنهاضها من كبوتها وإخراجها من عزلتها، فهي أشد بلاد اليمن تأخيراً، وأكثرها عزلة، تحتاج لرعاية الدولة في كل مرافقها، ففيها الثروات التي تدرّ على خزينة الدولة في شتى المجالات، الكثير من الأموال الضائعة في إهمالها.
