تلك كانت أولى الكلمات التي دوّنتها بعد أن حدث ما حدث، تاريخ التحديث الأخير كما يبيّن الملف الذي يحمل عنوان "أفكار عن التغيير" هو 20 "مايو 2004، الساعة 11: 11 ليلاً" لكن لا بد وأن هذا التاريخ يعود إلى آخر مرة فتحت فيها الملف وضغطت أمر الحفظ بلا تفكير قبل إغلاقه، لم أكن قد أجريت أي تغيير على النص في شهر مايو.
في الحقيقة، لم أجرِ أي تغيير على الملف منذ أن كتبت هذه الكلمات في يناير 2004، أي بعد يوم أو يومين، أو ربما ثلاثة، من الواقعة.
مر وقت طويل بعد ذلك لم أكتب خلاله أي كلمة... تتبدل الحياة في لحظة... تلك اللحظة الإعتيادية...
في مرحلة معينة، وأثناء تذكر الجانب الذي بدا أنه الأكثر إثارة للدهشة ومدعاة للصدمة في ما حدث، خطر لي أن أضيف عبارة "اللحظة الإعتيادية"، عرفت في الحال أنه لا حاجة إلى إضافة كلمة "إعتيادية" لأنني ما كنت لأنساها البتة... لم تكن الكلمة لتغادر ذهني أبداً.
في الواقع كانت الإعتيادية المطلقة لكل ما سبق الواقعة هي ما حال بيني وبين تصديق أنها قد وقعت، وهي ما أعجزني عن إستيعابها، واحتوائها، وتجاوزها، أدرك الآن أنه لم يكن ثمة شيء استثنائي في ما حدث: عندما تأخذنا مصيبة على حين غرة نركز جميعاً على الظروف الإعتيادية التي وقع ضمنها ما لم يكن في الحسبان...
