تَهْدُفُ هَذِهِ الْمَجْمُوعَةُ الْقَصَصِيَّةُ إِلَى تَعْمِيقِ وَعْيِ الطِّفْلِ بِحُقُوقِ الْجِيرَانِ، وَتُنَمِّي لَدَيْهِ الْحِسَّ بِمَدَى مَسْئُولِيَّتِهِ الْأَخْلاَقِيَّةِ تِجَاهَهُمْ؛ فَفِي قِصَّةِ "أُرِيدُ جَدَّاً" تَتَنَاوَلُ الْمُؤَّلِّفَةُ حُقُوقَ الْجَارِ الْمُسِنِّ، مِنْ خِلاَلِ الطِّفْلِ "عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ" الَّذِي يَرْغَبُ في أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ جَدٌّ؛ فَيَتَوَاصَلُ مَعَ أَحَدِ الْمُسِنِّينَ الْمقِيمِينَ في دَارِ مُسِنِّينَ قَرِيبَةٍ مِنْ مَنْزِلِهِ.
وَفي قِصَّةِ "الْجَارَةِ الْجَدِيدَةِ" تَلْفِتُ الْمُؤَلِّفَةُ نَظَرَ الْأَطْفَالِ إِلَى حُقُوقِ الْجَارِ الْجَدِيدِ مِنْ خِلاَلِ الطِّفْلَةِ "يُمْنَى" الَّتِي حَاوَلَتْ مُسَاعَدَةَ جَارَتِها الْجَدِيدَةِ "لُبْنَى" عَلَى التَّغَلُّبِ عَلَى مَشَاعِرِ الْوحْدَةِ وَالْعُزْلَةِ.
وفي قِصَّةِ "شَرِيكَتِي في الْحَيَاةِ" تُوَضِّحُ الْمُؤَّلِّفَةُ مِنْ خِلاَلِ الطِّفْلَتَيْنِ "فَاطِمَة" وَ"إِلِينَ" حُقُوقَ الْجَارِ الْمُخْتَلِفِ عَنَّا في الدِّينِ.
