تنطوي هذه المجموعة على عدد من القصص التي كتبتها سابقاً لكنني لم أنشرها في مجموعتيّ السابقتين، الأولى “ما بعد الطوفان” والثانية “أوراق امرأة” وسوف أتركها كما هي من دون تعديلات أو إضافات وذلك فضلاً عن عدد من القصص الأخرى التي كتبتها فيما بعد” وتضيف “أردت من ذلك أن يطلع القارئ على التجربة بمراحلها الثلاث المختلفة بوصف كل مرحلة تعبّر عن خصوصيتها.
وعن طرائق القص لديها التي تتنوع ما بين الوقع الاجتماعي والقصة القصيرة جداً شديدة التكثيف والاختزال، قالت “صراحة، القلم هو الذي يجد نفسه ولست أنا، أنا فقط أمسك بالقلم فأكتب، ما يعني أن لكل طريقة في الكتابة لها متعتها الخاصة، فكلما كتبت نوعا أجد نفسي فيه، وبعد أن أنتهي منه يحكم عليه الآخرون ولست أنا، إنني أستمتع بالكتابة بأي طريقة منهما سواء الكتابة عن العوالم الاجتماعية للمراة أو تلك المكثفة التي قد تقترب من شعرية ما”.
وعن مصادرها في القص قالت عائشة عبد الله “في “أوراق امرأة” حاولت أن أستقصي أشياء كثيرة من مجتمع النساء وأعيد كتابتها وأطورها في سياق فهم خاص لطبيعة حياة المرأة العربية بوجه عام التي تعيش لحظة راهنة.
