مِنْ قَدِيمِ الزَّمَانِ وَحُلْمُ الْوَحْدَةِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ يُرَاوِدُ كُلَّ عَرَبِيٍّ حُرٍّ، وَيَسْرِي في دِمَاءِ كُلِّ مَنْ يَتَكَلَّمُ اللُّغَةَ الْعَرَبِيَّةَ، بَدَوِيّاً كَانَ أَوْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْحَضَرِ، وَقَلِيلٌ مِنَ الْمُلُوكِ وَالزُّعَمَاءِ الْعَرَبِ - عَبْرَ التَّارِيخِ - مَنْ حَاوَلَ تَنْفِيذَ هَذِهِ الْأُمْنِيَّةِ الْغَالِيَةِ، وَتَحْقِيقَ هَذَا الْحُلْمِ الْكَبِيرِ؛ لِأَسْبَابٍ مُتَعَدِّدَةٍ وَمُعَوِّقَاتٍ مُتَنَوِّعَةٍ.
وَلَكِنَّ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الظَّرِبِ - مَلِكَةَ تَدْمُرَ، وَالْمَعْرُوفَةَ بـِـ "زِنُوبْيَا" - سَعَتْ سَعْياً حَثِيثاً لِتَحْطِيمِ هَذِهِ الْمُعَوِّقَاتِ وَإِزَالَةِ هَذِهِ الْأَسْبَابِ، وَلِجَعْلِ هَذَا الْحُلْمِ الْغَالي وَاقِعاً حَيَّاً مُشَاهَداً.
فَهَلْ نَجَحَتْ زِنُوبْيَا في تَحْقِيقِ هَذَا الْحُلْمِ الْكَبِيرِ؟ وَهَلْ حَالَفَهَا الْحَظُّ في إقَامَةٍ الْإِمْبِرَاطُورِيَّةِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ الْمُوَحَّدَةِ؟...
