لعل الجانب المهم الذي ظل مغفلاً أو مهملاً في دراسات الباحثين والمؤرخين، هو شيوع المثيولوجيا اليهودية في العربيتين، وتم مجيء محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم الذي اقتلع في زمن قصير ما انغرس في الذهنية العربية في القرون الستة الأولى بعد المسيح، من مفاهيم يهودية وطقوس كهنوتية، كان من الممكن، لولا دعوة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، أن تتجذر في الذهن العربي، فيسود التهود، وبالتالي تسود اليهودية في الأرض العربية. وإيماناً من جورجي كنعان بضرورة إجلاء الحقائق وتنقيتها من الشوائب كان بحثه في هذا الكتاب الذي تناول فيه حضارة المجتمعات القديمة في سوريا الطبيعية وفي العربيتين لينتقل إلى وحدة المفاهيم ووحدانية الإله ليعرض أخيراً، ومن باب الإشارة، نماذج من أغلاط المؤرخين الغربيين الذين قصروا في الوقوف على أسرار الضادية ولطائفها، واستجلاء مزاياها وخفاياها لذا جاء خلطهم بين مفهوم المعتقدات الطبيعية وبين مفهوم الديانات التاريخية أو الوضعية. من هذا المنطلق كانت محاولة الكاتب في بحثه هذا لإنارة جوانب من أخطر مسألة دينية فكرية اجتماعية، وسياسية تواجه العالم، وهي: كيف، ولماذا نسيت أو تناست أقوام نصف الكرة الغربي مفهوم "العالي" (عل-إيل-إله-الله) الذي ساد في العالم القديم، وأخذ به سيد المسيحية-يسوع الناصري، وراحت تعبد في محراب يهوه الموسوي-رب بني إسرائيل القومي العنصري؟
