يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن الصحابي تميم بن أوس الداري رضي الله عنه، وذلك من خلال سبعة فصول، تحدث أولها عن سكنى العرب في بلاد الشام منذ أقدم العصور، وهم العرب الكنعانيون من العرب البائدة، ثم تتابعت هجرات العرب الباقية، ثم جاء العرب المسلمون، وأردت أن أثبت بالدليل عروبة بلاد الشام قبل الإسلام، وأن العرب المسلمين ليسوا غرباء، وإنما هم محررون لجزء من وطنهم، وناشرو العقيدة بين إخوانهم.
وبين الفصل الثاني: أن قلوب عرب الجزيرة المسلمين كانت تهفو إلى بلاد الشام، وتتطلع إلى فتحها منذ رحلة الإسراء والمعراج، والبشارات التي نطق بها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. وتحدث الفصل الثالث: عن نسب تميم وموطنه: فهو عربي لخمي كان يسكن فلسطين قبل الإسلام.
أما الفصل الرابع فتحدث عن إسلام تميم، ووفادته على رسول الله مع رهطة. وتحدث الفصل الخامس: عن الإقطاع النبوي لتميم، وأثبت وجوده، وبقاءه بأيدي ذريته إلى القرون المتأخرة. وتناول الفصل السادس مناقب الصحابي ومآثره في الإسلام. وخصص الفصل السابع: لمسند تميم الداري، والأحاديث التي رواها عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
