تحاول الدراسة تسليط الضوء على طبيعة التفاعل الأمني الإسرائيلي مع الثورات وحركات التغيير في المنطقة العربية، من خلال رصد الأجهزة الأمنية للحراك العربي في شوارع العواصم المحيطة، والإجراءات الأمنية المتلاحقة لوقف النتائج السلبية لهذه الثورات على الواقع الإسرائيلي، والتنسيق الأمني الذي بادرت إليه المنظومة الإسرائيلية مع حلفائها في المنطقة وحول العالم، لكبح جماح المد الثوري العربي. واستخدم الكاتب في الدراسة الأسلوبين الوصفي والتحليلي، لتتبع الموقف الأمني الإسرائيلي من الثورات العربية، وتحليل أبعاده وتداخلاته المحلية والإقليمية والدولية، مستعيناً بمعظم ما صدر عن المنظومة الأمنية الإسرائيلية ومراكز البحث، من دراسات وتقييمات وتقديرات موقف، خصوصاً باللغة العبرية. وتظهر الدراسة في فصولها الأربعة؛ أن التقييم الأمني الإسرائيلي للثورات العربية تلخص في أن ما بدا "ربيعاً عربياً" يثير مخاوف الإسرائيليين من أن ينتهي (بالنسبة إليهم) إلى "شتاء إسلامي"، وهو ما قد يُغيِّر وجه المنطقة العربية كلها.
